Above those sit the AC Elite 50A, which the brand describes as offering adaptive load management, the AC Single 50A, and the 80A MaxiCharger, which Autel promotes as its fastest home charging option. Prices at the time of writing run from around $434 for the plug-in AC Lite to roughly $511 for the AC Elite, with the listings showing those as reductions from higher regular prices.

Accessories cover only what the chargers need: RFID charge cards, a replacement J1772 cable, a holster dock and J-hook, and the optional Autel Cloud System. Several units are merchandised in multiple finishes — dark gray, silver, wood grain and Sierra Blue among them — which matters more than it sounds for hardware that ends up mounted on a visible garage or exterior wall.

There is also an app. Autel states its Charge app handles remote start, off-peak charging schedules and per-session energy tracking, and describes it as the industry's first AI-powered charging app with voice assistant support — a claim worth attributing to the brand rather than treating as independently established.

Level 2 Charging, Briefly

Almost everything Autel Energy sells is Level 2 equipment, and it helps to know what that means before comparing amperages. The US Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Data Center puts Level 1 charging — an ordinary 120V household outlet — at roughly 5 miles of range per hour, while Level 2 equipment running on 240V delivers approximately 25 miles of range per hour and can, in its words, charge a typical EV battery overnight. That gap is the reason people buy a wall unit at all.

On connectors, the same source notes that J1772 is used for Level 1 and Level 2 charging across most EV models, while NACS — now being standardized by SAE International as J3400 — is Tesla's connector design. Before You Buy: Two Things to Settle

The connector. Because the range carries both J1772 and NACS units, check your vehicle's own documentation for which port it has and what amperage it can draw. A charger rated higher than your car accepts will not charge it any faster.

The installation. The 40A AC Lite is plug-in and needs a suitable 240V outlet already present. The 50A and 80A units are hardwired, which is licensed electrician work in most jurisdictions. Autel Energy publishes no installation guidance on its storefront, so the cost of a qualified installer — and confirmation that your electrical panel has spare capacity — belongs in your budget alongside the charger itself.

It is also worth checking whether a specific model carries the ENERGY STAR label. ENERGY STAR certifies electric vehicle supply equipment, and states that all certified chargers are tested for safety by a nationally recognized testing laboratory. That is a per-model question rather than a brandwide one, so look at the listing for the unit you are actually buying.

When to Buy

Because the range is small and the price points are high, this is not a store that rewards constant checking. The clearest markdowns tend to land in the familiar US hardware calendar — Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and the back-to-school window — alongside Autel's own named seasonal events.
